Domaine Wilfried
Rhône, France

The Charavin-Pouzoulas family has been operating Domaine Wilfried for five generations now. It is Wilfried and Rejane, brother and sister, who manage the estate of 36 hectares of vines including 21 in Côtes-du-Rhône Village Rasteau and 15 hectares in Cairanne, since 2007.

These two towns are located 2 km apart from each other and allow them to enjoy terroirs with quite different potential. The Rasteau appellation, which is known for its Natural Sweet Wines, has a sunny climate, a southern exposure and soils composed of limestone rocks. It produces red wines made from Grenache grape with a deep color and a marked structure.

In the village of Cairanne there is a Mediterranean climate. The soil is called skeletal because it is composed of sand and clay combined with red earth on sandstone. This type of soil is reflected in the wines by it’s aromatic power.

Today, Wilfried and Rejane continue to combine the wine-growing traditions of the region with innovation by bringing their vision for sustainable development.
