Julien Auroux
Bergerac, France

Julien Auroux returned to the family estate located in the town of Boisse, south of the Dordogne, in 2013. After working in Australia, Pomerol and Fitou, Auroux worked for 8 years as a Cellar master in Montbazillac where he had “carte blanche” for winemaking.

Since the vineyard had been abandoned for six generations, he returned to Bergerac with one idea in mind: to begin rebuilding the 11.2 hectare estate organically. He achieved his goal as the domain is now certified Ecocert.

It harvests Sauvignon, Semillon, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines growing in the clay and limestone soils of Bergerac. In the cellar, there is no wood used, only concrete vats and little intervention is practised with the least possible addition of SO2 to the wines.
