Luc Percher, l'Épicourchois
Loire, France

Founded in 2005 by Anne-Marie and Luc Percher, both passionate about wine and organic farming, Epicourchois is a 9-hectare estate in the Cheverny and Cour-Cheverny appellation. The vines, which are over 50 years old on average, are planted on soil of sand and clay. The estate is farmed organically in full respect of the environment. This commitment is reflected in the research and maintenance of biodiversity, and in the development of the natural defenses of the vines, essential to the harmonious evolution of the vineyard.

The Epicourchois is distinguished by the variety and richness of its seven grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Gamay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Menu-Pineau, Romorantin and Chenin. The vines are maintained according to the rules of organic cultivation (certified ECOCERT) by applying herbal teas and plant decoctions in order to favor the vines natural defenses. Fermentations using the indigenous yeasts present on the grapes harvested guarantee the “terroir” of the wines. They are later refined and acquire their aromatic complexity through a long aging process on fine lees of fermentation.
