Domaine des Cognettes
Loire, France

The family wine estate for 6 generations, Domaine des Cognettes, is located south-east of Nantes in the town of Clisson. This medieval city with Italian architecture is blessed by the charm of the Sèvre and Maine.

Stéphane and Vincent Perraud are at the head of their family estate and develop their wines according to principles respectful of the environment and tradition. Muscadet is exclusively harvested and sorted by hand. The vinifications are mainly achieved with indigenous yeasts and in controlled temperatures. Their philosophy is responsible and sustainable agriculture and for them, working in organic farming is not a step backwards, but a look towards the future. They farm without chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or insecticides and treatments are made with natural products as well as sulfur and copper in homeopathic doses.

They are producers of a variety of Muscadets, and practice the method of aging on lees for several months and specifically 44 months for the Clisson vintage.
